NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, participating in the program marking the completion of 20 years of the ‘Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2023,’ on Wednesday guaranteed that India will be among the top three economies of the world.
Addressing the event in Ahmedabad, the Prime Minister recalled the journey of the 20 years of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit and said India will soon emerge global economic powerhouse.
“We are standing at such a phase that India will soon emerge as a global economic powerhouse,” he said and added, “It is my guarantee to you that in a few years from now, in front of your eyes, India will be among the top three economies of the world.”
“We organised Vibrant Gujarat to make the state a growth engine of India. After 2014, our aim has been to make India a global growth engine,” he added.
‘Used to threaten foreign investors to not go Gujarat
“…Those who ran central govt earlier used to link Gujarat’s development with politics. Minister of then central govt used to refuse to come to Vibrant Gujarat…they used to threaten foreign investors and tried to stop them(foreign investors) from coming to Gujarat…even after so much of threatening, foreign investors came to Gujarat,” PM Modi said.
