Study Reveals Over Five Billion People Engaged on Social Media Worldwide :
According to a recent poll, around five billion people, or slightly over 60% of the global population, utilise social media. According to figures made by digital consultancy company Kepios in its most recent quarterly report, it reflects a rise of 3.7% over the previous year.
The number of people using social networks is getting close to the Internet users total 5.19 billion, or 64.5% of the world’s population. There are significant variations across areas. In east and central Africa, just one out of every eleven people uses social media. One in three people live in India, which is now the world’s most populated country.
A two-minute increase to 2 hours and 26 minutes per day has also been made in the amount of time spent on social media.
