President Biden added a touch of humour to his 81st birthday celebration, sharing a playful nod to his age on Instagram, saying: “Turns out on your 146th birthday, you run out of space for candles.”

The accompanying image showcased a cake adorned with numerous candles tightly packed around the edges, forming a dazzling ring that caught the attention and admiration of social media users.

Amid concerns about his age, Biden has been candid about the topic in recent weeks. Responding to the mounting discussions, he has playfully addressed the issue, including during the White House Thanksgiving turkey pardoning event. 

On this occasion, he amusingly remarked, “I just want you to know it’s difficult turning 60. Difficult.” 

Adding to the humour, he acknowledged the 76th anniversary of the turkey pardoning tradition, joking, “I want you to know I wasn’t there at the first one; I was too young to make it up.”

Despite the age-related banter, President Biden spent his birthday Monday continuing the annual tradition of pardoning Thanksgiving turkeys at the White House. He and First Lady Jill Biden plan to celebrate the occasion with family on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts, extending their stay through the Thanksgiving holiday.
