NEW DELHI: The New Zealand cricket team has touched down at Hyderabad airport, marking their arrival in India ahead of the highly anticipated ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. This prestigious tournament is scheduled to take place from October 5 to November 19, promising thrilling cricket action and fierce competition.
Notably, the Pakistan cricket team also landed in India on the same day, marking their return to the country for the first time since their last visit in 2012-13, which was for a bilateral series. The arrival of both teams adds to the excitement and buzz surrounding the World Cup.
New Zealand is gearing up for their World Cup campaign and will kick off their preparations with a practice match against Pakistan, scheduled for Friday. As they acclimate to Indian conditions and fine-tune their strategies, cricket fans around the world are eagerly awaiting their performance in this marquee event.

This 13th edition of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup will feature a total of 10 teams competing for the coveted World Cup trophy. The participating teams include India (as hosts), New Zealand, England, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Australia, Afghanistan, and South Africa, all of whom progressed from the Super League.
The World Cup promises to be a cricketing extravaganza with 48 matches set to take place across 10 venues in India. The tournament’s excitement will kick off on October 5 with a clash between defending champions England and the runners-up from the previous edition, New Zealand.
