The Indian contingent showcased a powerful start of sports competition at Hangzhou on September 28. India clinched one gold and one silver in shooting and Wushu early in the morning on Thursday. Athletes from various disciplines are set to compete throughout the day for different events. Here is the full list of competitions for India on Thursday.

Other than these events Niraj Kumar – Men’s omnium scratch race (Quarterfinal) David Beckham – Men’s sprint (Quarterfinal) will participate in cycling. Vidit Gujrathi and Arjun Erigaisi will participate in chess under Men’s individual round event at 12:30 PM onwards. Koneru Humpy and Harika Dronavalli will represent India in Women’s individual rounds of Chess at 12:30 PM onwards. In Taekwondo, Shivansh Tyagi represented Men’s 80kg and Margerette Maria Regi represented India in Women’s 67kg.
Under Esports category, India will fight against Vietnam at 11:30 am. In fencing’s medal event, Men’s team foil (Arjun, Dev, Bibish Kathiresan, Akash Kumar) competed 6:30 AM onwards. Whereas, Women’s team epee (Ena Arora, Jyotika Dutta, Yashkeerat Kaur, Tanishka Khatri) will compete 10:30 AM onwards.
In Handball, India will contest at the women’s preliminary round Group B at 4:30 PM. In sailing, Men’s Dinghy ILCA7 medal races (Vishnu Saravanan) was held 8:30 AM onwards. Women’s Single Dinghy ILCA6 medal races (Nethra Kumanan) was held 8:30 AM onwards. Whereas, Men’s Kite IKA Formula (Chitresh Tatha) was scheduled to begin at 8:30 AM and Men’s Windsurfing iQFoil quarter-final, semi-finals and final (Jerome Kumar Savarimuthu) began at 8:30 AM.
