NEW DELHI: King Charles of Britain on Sunday expressed his gratitude to all who sent him messages of support following his cancer diagnosis. This is the first public statement from the King since Buckingham Palace announced that he would be postponing some engagements in order to undergo treatment.
In a statement, King Charles said, “I would like to express my most heartfelt thanks for the many messages of support and good wishes I have received in recent days.”

“As all those who have been affected by cancer will know, such kind thoughts are the greatest comfort and encouragement,” the King said.
King Charles also expressed his appreciation for the attention his diagnosis has brought to organizations that support cancer patients in Britain and around the world. He believes that shining a light on these organizations will help raise awareness and improve the lives of those battling the disease.
The news of King Charles’ cancer diagnosis comes just months after he spent three nights in the hospital for a corrective procedure related to a benign enlarged prostate. Despite these health challenges, the King remains committed to his duties and responsibilities.
