A car crashed into an SUV stationed for the protection of Joe Biden‘s motorcade on Sunday evening as the US president was departing from a visit to his campaign headquarters. Both President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden were not injured in the incident.
As Biden made his way from the campaign office to his armored SUV, a sedan collided with a US Secret Service car that was blocking intersections near the headquarters for the president’s exit.The sedan attempted to proceed into an intersection that had been closed off, at which point Secret Service agents, with weapons drawn, encircled the vehicle and ordered the driver to raise his hands.
TV coverage depicted Secret Service personnel guiding Biden to his vehicle following the collision.
The car, showing bumper damage, was promptly encircled by law enforcement.
Biden was ushered into his waiting vehicle, where his wife was already seated, before being driven swiftly back to their home. His schedule was otherwise unaffected by the incident.
