Following PM Narendra Modi’s condemnation of the Moscow terrorist attack, foreign minister S Jaishankar also spoke to his counterpart Sergey Lavrov and conveyed his “deepest condolences” on the loss of lives in the “horrific terrorist attack in Moscow”. According to a Russian readout, Jaishankar vehemently condemned the “inhumane” terrorist attack on the Crocus City Hall concert venue, which claimed the lives of more than 130 civilians.
“He reaffirmed India’s resolution to continue fighting terrorism in all its manifestations together with Russia.He offered words of support and asked to convey his sympathy to the families of the victims, and wished a speedy recovery to the injured,” said the readout.
Modi on Saturday had condemned the attack, calling it a heinous terrorist attack. “We strongly condemn the heinous terrorist attack in Moscow. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims,” he said in a post on X.
