Poonam Dhillon‘s darling daughter Paloma is all set to make her big Bollywood debut with upcoming film, ‘Dono‘ with Sunny Deol’s younger son Rajveer. The film has been directed by Sooraj Barjatya‘s son Avnish S Barjatya.
Being the daughter of a popular actress, Paloma always knew that she would be subjected to comparisons. In an interview with News18, Paloma said that although she knew she would be compared to her mother, she also believes that every individual is different and has different journeys.The young diva wishes to make her own identity. She also added that she wants to prove herself and make her parents proud.

Elaborating further, Paloma shared that growing up she didn’t want to become an actress so she didn’t try to ape her mother in front of the mirror. In fact, the young diva said that for the longest time, she didn’t even know that her mother was an actor. So for her, the love for acting started in college when she did act for the first time. According to her, she started watching her mom’s films after a certain age. But she would dance to a few popular songs just for fun.

Paloma says that bagging her first film was a long process and she didn’t get the film because her mother is an actor. She shared that she did multiple rounds of auditions. Avnish was very sure about his characters and so he wanted to be certain of who they were casting as a Rajshri Productions heroine. Paloma also remembered sending him a bunch of my auditions, photos, and dance videos in various avatars. After a few rounds, she got shortlisted, and then both Rajveer and she came together for an audition. She added that Avnish took his time to select his lead pair as it is a big decision to direct a debut film with two newcomers.
The film will hit the theatres on October 5, 2023.
