With the release of ‘Leo’ on the horizon, Thalapathy Vijay has shifted his focus to his next project. Tentatively titled ‘Thalapathy 68,’ this film under Venkat Prabhu’s direction embarked on its journey with a customary pooja in Chennai on October 2. Venkat Prabhu himself confirmed this development on his social media platform, and he mentioned that the complete cast and crew details would be unveiled post the release of ‘Leo.’

Vijay has teamed up with director Venkat Prabhu for his upcoming venture, and there are reports that Meenakshi Chaudhary will play the female lead.
On October 2, Venkat Prabhu shared the exciting news on his social media, stating, “And it began!! #Thalapathy68 with all ur love and wishes!!! This is gonna be a fun roller coaster ride!! And all pics and updates after namma #Leo release!! God is Kind.”
Archana Kalpathi, the producer of AGS Entertainment, also expressed her gratitude for the support and love they’ve received as they commenced their 25th film with ‘Thalapathy.’ She mentioned that all cast and crew updates and photos would be shared after ‘Leo.’
Cast and Crew of ‘Thalapathy 68’
Although the official cast and crew announcements are yet to be made, there have been several speculations and reports circulating. It was previously revealed that Yuvan Shankar Raja would be composing the music for the film.
Top Star Prashanth indirectly confirmed his involvement by sharing a post related to ‘Thalapathy 68’ on his official Facebook page, which has since been removed.
Furthermore, there are speculations that veteran actor Mohan, also known as Mic Mohan, and Prabhudheva will be playing significant roles in the film. The complete cast and crew details are expected to be officially announced in the coming weeks.
