Sivakarthikeyan Joins Rajinikanth in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Next Directorial Venture
Popular Tamil actor Sivakarthikeyan has been cast in a prominent role in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s upcoming film with superstar Rajinikanth, tentatively titled Thalaivar 171. The film is set to be a standalone project and will not be connected to the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).
Kanagaraj has expressed his admiration for Rajinikanth’s villainous roles and has hinted at incorporating that aspect into Thalaivar 171. Raghava Lawrence has also been cast in the film, reportedly as the antagonist.
Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music for Thalaivar 171, while Anbariv will handle the action direction. The film is being produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth will next be seen in a cameo role in Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s upcoming sports drama, Lal Salaam. He is also currently working on TJ Gnanavel’s forthcoming film, tentatively titled Thalaivar 170.
Sivakarthikeyan’s next project is the science fiction film Ayalaan, followed by Rajkumar Periasami’s tentatively titled SK21. He is also set to collaborate with veteran filmmaker AR Murugadoss for a film tentatively titled SK23.
