Bollywood’s ace filmmaker Sanjay Gadhvi well-known for his movies like ‘Dhoom’, ‘Dhoom 2’ and the 2002 film ‘Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai‘, breathed his last at Mumbai on Sunday. He was 56 and was about to turn 57 three days later.
Several stars have poured in their condolences after Sanjay Gadhvi passed away. Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta took to his Twitter handle to offer his heartfelt condolences over the demise of his close friend and late director Sanjay Gadhvi.
Gupta shared a throwback picture of Sanjay Gadhvi and wrote, “Gone too soon buddy. Will miss your always happy energy.
Rest In Peace my friend.”

The filmmaker is survived by his daughter Sanjina Gadhvi. Sanjina told PTI, “He passed away at 9.30 am this morning at his residence. We are not sure what it is, but it is most likely a heart attack. He wasn’t unwell, he was perfectly healthy.”

For the unversed, Sanjay had made his directorial debut with the 2000 film ‘Tere Liye’. He also directed a few films made under the Yash Raj Films banner. Among them were ‘Dhoom’, ‘Dhoom 2’ and the 2002 film ‘Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai’.
