Kareena Kapoor Khan has been earning acclaim for her recent ventures, including her role in the OTT film ‘Jaane Jaan‘ and Hansal Mehta’s ‘The Buckingham Murder,’ which served as the opening film for the Jio Mami Film Festival in Mumbai. She discussed her recent debut as a vocal artist and her artistic identity.
She made her debut as a voice artist in the Audible series ‘Marvel Wastelanders,’ lending her voice to the character of Black Widow.In an exclusive interview with IndiaToday, Kareena shared insights into her experience and the meaningful takeaway from the audio series.
Reflecting on her role in ‘Marvel Wastelanders,’ Kareena emphasized the inspirational theme of human resilience. She mentioned that any tragedy can change people, and all of us come out of it with more perspective. She further added that despite facing incredible hardships, characters like Star-Lord, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Wolverine show that there is always light at the end of the tunnel. “All of us must fight for it and can be heroes in our own lives,” she added.
When questioned about the challenges of voice acting, Kareena highlighted the uniqueness of the experience, emphasizing the reliance on one’s voice to guide listeners through a visual-less narrative. She expressed the need to help audiences vividly imagine the story without visual aids.

Addressing her approach to her celebrity status, Kareena stated her desire not to feel burdened by her ‘star’ image and expressed a commitment to experimentation as an actor. She emphasized being content with her choices and revealed her continuous effort to evolve and become a better version of herself.

Regarding her current project, Kareena is engaged in shooting for ‘The Crew,’ alongside Tabu and Kriti Sanon. In the Marvel audio series, she is joined by

Saif Ali Khan, Prajakta Kohli, and Masaba Gupta, who are also making their debut as voice artists. Jaideep Ahlawat, known for his previous work in the audio series ‘Baby Doll,’ is also part of the cast.
Interestingly,Kareena expressed her admiration for the character traits of Black Widow, particularly her resilience and ability to turn setbacks into opportunities for comebacks.
