Gadar 2 BEATS Pathaan; becomes the highest grossing Hindi film in India
No one expected Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2 to turn out to be this mammoth hit at the box office. The film is a sequel to the 22 year old blockbuster hit Gadar – Ek Prem Katha. The film today has broken the record set by Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaanto become the highest earning Hindi film in India.Pathaan held the record with Rs 524.53 crore and Gadar 2 has collected Rs 524.75 crore, the difference is just of few lakhs but records are records and they are written on an everyday basis in Indian cinema since January after the release of Pathaan, followed by Gadar and nowJawan.

It would be interesting to see for how many days will Gadar 2 be able to hold on to this record as Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan in Hindi has already reached Rs 519. 69 crore as per reports.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the film’s box office collection on Twitter. In an exclusive interview with ETimes, talking about the massive success of the film Anil Sharma said, “But I believe there is no magic in this from my side, it is all because of the blessings of god and my parents. It is God who has decided my happiness and my sorrow, so I can’t take credit for this feat.”
He also stated, “I’m someone who believes my success is not my success and my failure is not my failure, this is the upbringing my grandfather gave me. I was taught that what is going to happen will happen, if you are dumb you will cry over it, if you are smart you will have a smile on your face. I have seen a lot of good and bad times and I have taken both with the same face.”
