The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) officially started the registration process for Round 1 counselling for Joint Entrance to the MCA course (JECA).
Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria set by the board can apply on the official website-
Registration, fee payment, and choice filling for JECA counselling Round 1 began on September 27 and the last date to apply is October 1, 2023.
According to the schedule, the results for Round 1 seat allotment will be released by the WBJEEB on October 3.

Choice filling
After the registration process is completed and the registration fee has been paid, candidates can view all available choices of institutes and courses on the portal. These options are specifically provided based on their eligibility criteria, which are determined based on the information provided during registration and academic scores. After selecting institutes, the candidate will be required to arrange their choices in order of their preference.
Candidates are required to ensure that the information being filled during the registration process is accurate. The WBJEE board has stated that there is no provision to make any corrections or editing after the final submission of the registration.
Important documents required at the time of verification
As per the notification, candidates need to keep the following list of documents ready

  • Counselling Registration Form
  • JECA 2023 Rank Card
  • Class 10 marksheet
  • Class 12 marksheet
  • University registration certificate
  • Date of Birth Proof
  • Valid Govt ID Proof
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • Domicile certificate (if applicable)

Follow these steps to register on the official portal
Step 1: Visit the official website by clicking the direct link.
Step 2: Click on new candidate registration.
Step 3: Read the terms and guidelines shown on the screen and click on ‘I agree’.
Step 4: Fill out personal details such as roll number, application number, date of birth etc. and click on ‘submit’.
Step 5: You will get the option to fill out the detailed application form and enter college & course preferences
Step 6: Upload relevant documents as required by the authority and pay the fee.
Step 7: Submit the form and take a screenshot or save it as PDF for future reference.
Candidates should carefully consider when making their institutional selections. As advised by the board, the candidates can opt to choose as many institutes and branches as possible to increase the likelihood of receiving an allotment in the first round. Additionally, the candidate can opt for ‘upgradation’ after accepting the initial allotment.
