Open WhatsApp.

Navigate to the conversation or chat in which you wish to post your video clip.

In the bottom right corner, tap the microphone button to switch to video mode.

Hold to record the video, or swipe up to lock and record the video hands-free.

Once done, release the button, and the video will be sent.

When accessed in a conversation, videos will play on silent by default, and pressing over the clip will initiate the sound. Meta ensures that video messages are protected with end-to-end encryption to maintain message security.

This new video message feature on WhatsApp differs significantly from the previous method of sending videos, where they were saved to the camera roll. With the update, videos can be recorded and sent in real-time, giving a sense of immediacy and authenticity to recipients.
