WhatsApp, which is managed by Meta, has unveiled an update that allows people to transmit real-time 60-second video chats inside the programme.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg just created an updated WhatsApp feature that lets people to send 60-second video messages through the messaging service. But in the past, there is no requirement to include video files because movies have been captured and transmitted quickly. “Video messaging are an actual time way to react to conversations with anything you’d like to say and display in 60 seconds,” Meta said. We believe they would be a fantastic way to convey events with all the passion that video brings.
It is just as simple to send a video message as it is to send a voice one. Here are the steps:
Open WhatsApp.
Navigate to the conversation or chat in which you wish to post your video clip.
In the bottom right corner, tap the microphone button to switch to video mode.
Hold to record the video, or swipe up to lock and record the video hands-free.
Once done, release the button, and the video will be sent.
When accessed in a conversation, videos will play on silent by default, and pressing over the clip will initiate the sound. Meta ensures that video messages are protected with end-to-end encryption to maintain message security.
This new video message feature on WhatsApp differs significantly from the previous method of sending videos, where they were saved to the camera roll. With the update, videos can be recorded and sent in real-time, giving a sense of immediacy and authenticity to recipients. According to WABetaInfo, forwarding video messages directly is not possible, but users can still save them by screen recording, as they are not sent using the view once mode.
Meta has begun rolling out the feature, and users should receive it in the coming weeks. To check if you can send video messages on WhatsApp, open any chat and tap the microphone button in the chat bar. If it changes to a video camera button, you can now record and send video messages. Whenever you get a video communication, tap it once to hear the audio.
