Meet Jayanti Gupta, MS Dhoni’s elder sister who marries the captain of the Chennai Super Kings – indiansupdate.com

MS Dhoni came from a middle-class household before his meteoric ascent to stardom, but few people are aware of the importance his sister Jayanti Gupta played in his achievement.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, a highly renowned cricketer, remains celebrated for his captaincy of Team India, even after retirement. However, few people realise how important his older sister, Jayanti Gupta, was to his career.

MS Dhoni, who retired from all forms of cricket except for the IPL, currently leads Chennai Super Kings and earns a substantial income of around Rs 50 crore annually. In his early days, Dhoni’s family belonged to a middle-class background, as his father held a mid-level government job.

Jayanti Gupta is the daughter of Pan Singh Dhoni and Devaki Devi, and she is believed to be around 3-4 years older than MS Dhoni. When Dhoni expressed his desire to become a cricketer and represent his country, Jayanti Gupta provided immeasurable support, encouraging him to pursue his passion for sports. She stood by him, even when their father was uncertain about Dhoni’s cricketing aspirations.

Despite Dhoni’s immense fame and a net worth exceeding Rs 1000 crore, Jayanti Gupta chooses to keep a low profile and avoids media attention. She continues to work as an English teacher in a public school in Ranchi, Jharkhand.

Jayanti Gupta is married to Gautam Gupta, who happens to be one of Dhoni’s oldest friends from Ranchi. Gautam Gupta supported MS Dhoni during his early days as a state and district player and remains one of his closest friends.
