Indians are much more likely to believe that the country’s power is on the rise compared to the world, revelaed a new Pew study. Around 70 percent of the Indians respondents believed that India has become ‘influential’ compared to 28 percent of adults in 19 other countries of the world. The findings of Pew study are based on a survey of 30,861 people from India and 23 other countries undertaken between February 20 and May 22, 2023.
The study also reveals that in the 19 other countries 48 percent of the respondents said that India’s influence has not changed much in the recent years compared to just 19 percent of the Indians who would agree with this statement.
Similarly, the study also revealed that while 79 percent of the Indians have a favorable view of PM Modi and 55 percent of them have a very favourable view of him, only around 37 percent of the people in 12 countries have confidence in PM Modi to make the right foreign policy choices.
