IIML’s chairperson admissions, Prof Sanjeet Singh is the convener for CAT 2023. The CAT 2023 registration will close on September 13. CAT 2023 will be conducted in around 155 cities. Candidates will be given the option to choose six optional cities. CAT Centre will try its best to ensure that a candidate gets one of the preferred options. Once a centre is allotted to a candidate, no change is permitted, stated a media press release.
After the closure of the registration window, candidates will be able to make corrections, if required only in their photograph, signature, and test city preferences. Only those candidates who have paid the applicable registration fee and have registered successfully for CAT 2023 within the specified deadline will be able to make changes.
CAT 2023 will be a computer-based test of 120 minutes. The test will have the following three sections: Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, Section III: Quantitative Ability. Candidates will be allotted exactly 40 minutes for answering questions in each section and they will not be allowed to switch from one section to another while answering questions in a section.
Tutorials to understand the format of the test will be available on the CAT website. Candidates are advised to work on the tutorials available on the CAT website well in advance.
The CAT convener urged the test takers to register well in advance to have a hassle-free registration process and to avoid last-minute rush. Candidates are advised to regularly check the CAT website (www.iimcat.ac.in) for the latest information.
Students who have completed their Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognised college or university are eligible to apply for the CAT exam. Final year students in graduation can also apply.

Step 1: Visit the official CAT website at iimcat.ac.in.
Step 2: Click on the “Registration for CAT 2023” link.
Step 3: Create a new account by providing your email ID and mobile number.
Step 4: Fill in the required personal and academic details in the registration form.
Step 5: Choose your preferred test cities from the available options.
Step 6: Pay the registration fee online through the provided payment methods to complete the process.
