Elon Musk Drops Bombshell on Twitter Brand and Logo: Farewell Approaches!
Twitter CEO Elon Musk has said that he will remove the platform’s recognisable bird logo.
Known for creating a stir with his announcements, Musk recently showed up to the Twitter headquarters carrying a kitchen sink shortly after the company’s acquisition. Musk has since said it is time to “bid adieu” to Twitter’s recognisable bird logo.
According to Musk’s tweet, “And soon we shall bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds.” Later, he promised to release an X logo and acknowledged the modification “should have been done a long time ago.”
Twitter was acquired by Musk’s X Corp. in April of this year. Changes to the blue tick system and criticism from marketing experts after Musk announced he would limit the number of tweets some accounts could access each day have marred Musk’s time on the network.
And that may have given rivals a chance to gain an advantage. Recently released Threads by Meta (META) was dubbed the “Twitter Killer.” While the network quickly attracted 100 million users as interested consumers flocked to it, the numbers have subsequently decreased.
Musk vowed to sue the creator of Facebook, but Zuckerberg responded by saying he wants to build a friendlier platform.
The internet services provider Cloudflare said that Twitter’s user base was “tanking”. Additionally, Musk’s acquisition is now only worth around a third of what he paid for it.
