Australian university- Deakin University, which has announced plans to set up an international branch campus at the Gujarat International Finance Tec City (GIFT City), has signed an agreement with Nila Spaces Ltd to set up its campus spread over 25,000 sq feet. Nila Spaces Ltd will provide the space to Deakin by the end of this year.

According to well placed sources, Deakin University initial campus will be HaS (HQ As a Service) where space will be provided by Nila Spaces and it will be managed by DevX. Nila Spaces is developing around 50,000 sq feet commercial space structure at GIFT City which is aimed to provide proper office infrastructure to companies till the full fledged commercial buildings get ready at GIFT City.
Deep Vadodaria, director of Nila Spaces Ltd refused to comment about the value of the lease deed but he said, “We are excited to announce that Deakin University has signed to start their operations at our accelerator at Gift City. This achievement is a testament to the proactive thinking of the Gift team, who have implemented innovative models to expedite the establishment of operations for companies and universities. At our accelerator, we are focused on creating a unique structure that offers our clients the best possible working environment.

Through the utilization of innovative design concepts, we are ensuring that our clients have access to well-planned spaces filled with natural light, as well as a grand atrium and common amenities. We will complete the construction and furnishing of our accelerator by the end of this calendar year. By doing so, we aim to provide Deakin University and other participants with a cutting-edge facility that will foster their growth and success.”
To start with, Deakin University will offer two courses in cyber security and business analytics, with 60 students in each course from 2024.
