VISAKHAPATNAM: State Industries and IT Minister Gudivada Amarnath planned an innovative idea to show his gratitude to his constituency public and around 2500 cycles were distributed to the girl students of various government schools on Saturday. He said this was not a plan to attract the voters or gain something from it. But it is nothing but to show his gratitude towards the Anakapalli public.
He distributed 2500 cycles each costs Rs. 6500 with the corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds of Aurobindo Pharma Foundation, which had already taken up many social service activities in the constituency. The Vice Chairman of the Foundation Nityananda Reddy spent almost R. 2 crore for the cycles to the ninth and tenth standard students.

Interestingly, Aurobindo Foundation has been supplying food to the students through Akshaya Patra Foundation and also maintaining the 108 ambulances. Anakapalli MP Dr. Satyavati, Aurobindo MD and Vice Chairman Nityananda Reddy, YSRCP state secretary D Dilip Kumar, YSRCP president Boddeda Prasad and others participated.
