The Enforcement Directorate on Friday claimed Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel has so far received ₹508 crore from the promoters of the Mahadev betting app, reported PTI.

The central probe agency said it conducted raids on Thursday in Chhattisgarh against the money laundering networks linked with the Mahadev online betting app and seized ₹5.39 crore in cash. The agency also intercepted Rs. 15.59 crore in bank balance which was subsequently frozen.

“ED has conducted search operations on 2/11/2023 against the money laundering networks linked with Mahadev Book Online Betting APP in Chhatishgarh in which Cash of Rs. 5.39 Crore and Bank balance Rs. 15.59 Crore has been intercepted and frozen/ seized,” the agency said in a social media post.

The Enforcement Directorate also posted pictures of the massive cash seizure.
