Clash with SRK’s ‘Dunki’ on December 22 : Salaar – indiansupdate
The team behind Prabhas’ highly anticipated film, ‘Salaar,’ has unveiled the movie’s new release date. Originally slated for a September 28th premiere, the film’s release was postponed to allow for additional post-production work. On September 29th, Hombale Films, the production company, made the long-awaited announcement regarding the film’s revised release date.
After the mixed response to ‘Adipurush,’ Prabhas’ fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of ‘Salaar.’ Directed by Prashanth Neel, renowned for his work on ‘KGF,’ the movie is expected to be an action-packed thriller centered around a fierce protagonist.
‘Salaar’ had encountered last-minute delays, leaving many distributors and exhibitors in various film industries feeling frustrated. However, a new release date has now been firmly established.

Hombale Films took to the X platform (formerly known as Twitter) on September 29th to reveal the revised release date. Alongside a fresh poster, they shared the exciting news: “Coming soon! #SalaarCeaseFire Worldwide Release on December 22, 2023.”
This announcement sets the stage for a clash between ‘Salaar’ and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki’ in theaters during the Christmas weekend. As a result, films that had previously announced their release dates will likely need to reschedule. The response of exhibitors to this showdown remains to be seen.
It’s worth noting that ‘Salaar’ had previously confirmed its release as a two-part series. The first installment, titled ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire,’ boasts a star-studded cast including Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Shruti Haasan in leading roles. Additionally, the movie includes significant contributions from Jagapathi Babu, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, and Ramachandra Raju in key roles.
